In the documentary aired Monday night on ITV1, Michael Jackson has disclosed for the first time how his new baby Prince Michael II was conceived by a surrogate mother he has never met. “I used a surrogate mother and my own sperm cells. She doesn’t know me and I don’t know her,” Jacko told Martin Bashir. “I didn’t care what race she was as long as she was healthy and her vision was good. And her intellect – I wanted to know how intelligent she is.”
Sotheby’s Sues Michael Jackson
January 31, 2003 – Anonova reports Sotheby’s have filed a lawsuit claiming Michael’s company, MJJ Productions, successfully bid on two artworks by French painter William Adolphe Bouguereau at an October auction. But while “repeated demands” had been made for a $1.3 million payment, Jackson hasn’t paid, Sotheby’s contends.
ABC Wins Bidding War On Jacko Documentary
January 30, 2003 – The New York Daily News reports ABC has won a frenzied bidding war for a British documentary looking inside the life of Michael Jackson. The network is believed to be paying between $4 million and $5 million for the program, which includes a series of no-holds-barred interviews with Jackson, according to TV executives familiar with the deal. ABC will air the film during the February sweeps.
Michael Jackson Makes A Visit To UofM Medical Bookstore
January 30, 2003 – Ted Casablanca of E! Online reports Micheal made a visit to the University of Miami Medical bookstore to do a little shopping. Needless to say, Jackson’s visit was far from a surprise. A phone call was placed ahead of time asking if a “well-known celebrity” could drop by after closing in order to research a project. Apparently Jacko is interested in opening his own children’s hospital, so he loaded up on pediatrics books.
