Michael Jackson Eyes $6.9 Million Castle
Dotmusic.com reports Michael Jackson is in a bidding war with Madonna and golfer Nick Faldo over a a Scottish Castle. Jackson told his long-term friend and cook, Raj Bajwehas, that he’s interested in buying a home in Scotland. Raj said: “He looked me in the eye and said he wanted to buy a castle in Scotland. He said he was serious and loved Scotland and wanted to spend more time there.” Meanwhile, the Daily Record says he’s interested in Amhuinnsuide Castle on Harris, a 50,000-acre ranch valued at $6.9 million, which Madonna and Faldo also have interest in.

June 25, 2002 – The New York Daily News has reaction from the reps of Michael Jackson and Madonna following respective negative comments in the press about the two. In regards to Rosie O’Donnell’s pedophile charge during her recent stand-up routine, Jackson spokesman Dan Klores says that not “one shred of evidence has come out” to support the charge. As for Madonna’s nude scenes being cut from ‘Swept Away’ by Guy Ritchie because he didn’t feel his wife had a body to make the final cut, her rep Liz Rosenberg insisted, “Say what you want about Madonna, but you can’t say she doesn’t have a fabulous body. I don’t think Guy has complaints about her body.”

Jay joked, “How bizarre is this — Michael Jackson was apparently spotted flying on the Concorde from London, wearing a fuchsia face mask, accompanied by a puppet in the next seat named Pinocchio. To give an idea how weird this guy is, three terrorists got off the plane. ‘We don’t want to fly with him. We don’t want to fly with him.’ And finally this is our ‘Men In Black II’ week. We saw the movie ‘Men in Black.’ Michael Jackson, he was in it. Michael Jackson has a cameo in ‘Men in Black II.’ With Michael, shouldn’t it be ‘Men Who Used To Be Black’? Wouldn’t that be better?”
