Michael Jackson Made A Dud Album With ‘Invincible’

Brett Thomas of the Sydney Morning Herald spoke with Jeff Apter, music editor for Rolling Stone magazine, on the recent strange behavior of and charges of racism on the behalf of Sony executives, which he blames for the disappointing performance of his latest album, ‘Invincible’. “I think just made a dud album,” he said. “And the label moved on to other priorities. Maybe he felt he wasn’t getting the respect of an artist like Bob Dylan, but it’s a totally different world. We’re talking about a man who’s becoming unhinged, becoming undone. It must be a bitter pill to swallow when you discover you’re not the same kind of star you were 20 years, or even 10 years, ago.” Read more.
