Jacko Checks Out $45 Million Palm Beach Home
January 11, 2003 – The Palm Beach Daily News reports Michael Jackson was in town before Christmas, checking out a $45 million Marden estate. Broker Nadine House, who showed the property Dec. 23, would not confirm the prospective buyer’s identity, but said, “He’s shy and was a real gentleman” – calling from his car to apologize for being late on the ride up from Miami. James Meiskin, head of Plymouth Partners Ltd. and a New York broker who represents Jackson, said money was not an issue. “The $45 million didn’t bother him. He loves the house. The house is exquisite, but it’s not large enough, if you can believe that,” he said. “We’re really looking for at least 45,000 square feet. But we haven’t begun the process in earnest.”
