Michael Jackson Tries To Reconnect With What He’s Not

Newsweek’s Jennifer Barrett questioned Brent E. Turvey, a forensic scientist, criminal profiler, and author of ‘Criminal Profiling: An Introduction to Behavioral Evidence and Analysis’ on Michael Jackson’s recent charges of racism against Sony Music and its chief Tommy Mottola.

On his decision to enlist Rev. Al Sharpton and Johnnie Cochran in his cause against the label, Turvey said, “In his mind, this was an attempt to reconnect with that which he is not—he wants to be black again. He goes to the two blackest men out there, the two most outspoken people in the black community. But they are also known for bending the truth to suit their purposes. What you really have here are two black leaders who have no credibility. When they open their mouths, people assume they are spinning something.”
