In an interview obtained by News of the World from the early 1980s, Michael Jackson talked about how his most successful album ‘Thriller’ was almost scrapped. “‘Thriller’ sounded so crap. The mixes sucked,” the late King of Pop said bluntly. “When we listened to the whole album, there were tears… I just cried like a baby.”
To resolve the situation, Jackson said, “What we did was, we took a couple days off, came back fresh, cleared our ears out and we mixed two songs a week.”
The entire story and audio of Jackson’s comments at newsoftheworld.co.uk has since been removed.
