The Washington Post reports about 200 people showed up at the Ethiopian Embassy as Michael Jackson received a humanitarian award from the African Ambassadors’ Spouses Association on Thursday night. “This is beautiful. This is a wonderful time. I’ve been going to Africa since I was 12. I love it very much,” he said in accepting the honor. During the event, Jackson smiled, clapped his hands and scooped children — most of them very little girls — into his arms and onto his lap, passing out kisses and cuddles while he stroked his hair and the cameras flashed.
