On the Michelle Branch message boards at her official site, I stumbled upon what her song ‘Desperately’ from ‘Hotel Paper’ might really be all about. Members have been discussing the lyrics to the song and their connection with John Mayer. In ‘Your Body Is A Wonderland’ one lyrics goes: ‘You frustrate me’. In ‘Desperately’ Michelle sings: ‘You looked my way and said ‘You frustrate me’ like you’re thinking of lines and times when you and I were you and me’. Another lyric taken from a John Mayer song is ‘Back to you, it always comes around, back to you’. Has John Mayer broken Michelle’s heart? I believe this song just may prove it. Tsk. Poor Meech.
