Following her free concert outside Madison Square Garden yesterday to open the New York Liberty’s WNBA season, Michelle Branch tells Amy Sacks of the New York Daily News that she was flattered to be part of the opening festivities. “As a little girl, you have dreams of having female athletes and artists you can look up to,” Branch said after her performance. “We’re all women in a man’s business. If people at home can be watching us, we can do a lot.”
