Michelle Branch Performs For Star101 DJ’s Birthday

The San Francisco Examiner reports Michelle Branch was the special guest for morning man Don Bleu’s birthday party at the Star101 radio studios on Townsend yesterday. Branch wore blue Converse sneakers and a baseball cap to the studio, where she sang three unaccompanied songs, plus a rendition of ‘Happy Birthday’ for Don. 30 lucky listeners won invitations to the party, which was catered by Destino Restaurant’s chef/owner James Schenk. “I made all kinds of tapas and brought along alfajores — butter cookies filled with dulce leche caramel.” James presented Branch with a box of the confections he created: “Michelle signed a photo for me with the message, ‘Thank you for helping my ass grow’.”
