Michelle Branch Searches Lag TRL Popularity

Despite ruling the roost on MTV’s Total Request Live lately, searches for Michelle Branch haven’t been matching many of the top pop singers, but nonetheless have been much stronger than they were in October, the last time we profiled Michelle’s internet popularity. Searches on pay-per search engine Overture.com show Michelle Branch being searched 61,934 times, compared to under 30,000 in October of 2001. Unlike Britney or Christina, searches for Branch are focused on the lyrics, not the hopes of seeing the singer nude (16205 searching for lyrics, only 595 searching for nude). As for the most popular misspelling, Michele Branch topped the list.
