Michelle Branch tells Launch.com that she’s headed to the studio next month to begin work on a follow-up to her platinum Maverick Records debut, ‘The Spirit Room’. “Yes, I’m going into the studio August 1st to start a new record,” she revealed. “I was going to go on tour but it just didn’t feel right. The last record that I had, The Spirit Room, I wrote a lot of the songs when I was 14, 15, 16, and I’m now 19, so I feel like my new songs have jumped leaps and bounds over the old record. So instead of touring, I decided that I was going to make a new record, and I’m very, very thrilled about it.”
