Miley Cyrus, Katy Perry Talk With Mel B
Former Spice Girl Melanie Brown, reporting from the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday night, spoke with Miley Cyrus on the red carpet. The ‘Hannah Montana’ star complained about her too small shoes, which were her mothers, and gushed about her Zac Posen dress. Cyrus arrived with Katy Perry and was excited to see “everybody”. As for the headliner Britney Spears, Cyrus said, “My mom and her are like great, great friends. We’re so excited for them, coming out so empowered, and we just feel so inspired by their family.”
Mel B then spoke with Katy Perry, who talked about getting her outfit from a vintage store. “I’m one of those like make it yourself people,” Perry said. “I never had any money so I always used to try and pull stuff like this all the time, and now that maybe I have like ten bucks I’m not gonna spend it on anything, I’m just gonna make my own.” Perry added that she’s a shopaholic and makes shopping runs to antique shops and vintage stores at every city they go on tour. As for Spears, Perry said, “Britney is a VMA staple. I watched as many VMAs as I possible can and have always been excited to see what’s next for her and what she’s gonna do.” Watch the interview below.
