Miley Cyrus spoke with ‘Entertainment Tonight’ after it was announced she received a Golden Globe nomination for Best Original Song for ‘I Thought I Lost You’, – a theme song for her animated film ‘Bolt’. The ‘Hannah Montana’ star said she learned of the honor by text message from her publicist, manager and agent. “Everyone says this is the reason we do things, for awards … but honestly, the truth is I just love working, and these things are just the things that keep you going and little treats along the way,” Miley tells ‘ET’. The 16-year-old, who received her driver’s learning permit on Wednesday, said her mother was really excited after she told her about the nomination.
Cyrus said the song was something she actually threw together real fast with Jeffrey Steele. “It wasn’t a song I ever thought would be nominated. It was kind of the last song I thought would be nominated, because it felt so easy. But when I listened to it and listened to the version with John Travolta on it, I understand why it’s nominated, because you can really hear such a friendship between us, and it really rings true with the lyrics.” The interview video at etonline.com has since been removed.
