Miley Cyrus Wins Big At Teen Choice Awards 2009
Miley Cyrus was on hand for the Teen Choice Awards 2009 at Gibson Amphitheatre in Universal City, California on Sunday (August 9). The 16-year-old won six surfboard-trophies at the FOX awards show, two for the ‘Hannah Montana’ TV series, two for ‘Hannah Montana: The Movie’, music single for ‘The Climb’ and summer song for ‘Before the Storm’.
Cyrus has been catching heat for “pole dancing” during her ‘Party in the USA’ performance at the awards, drawing comparisons to Britney Spears. That didn’t seem to upset Cyrus, who wrote on her Twitter earlier today:
For all the people calling me the “next Britney” THANK U. I couldn’t ask for a better compliment :)
