Missy Higgins Retunes Her Sound For America

Brag magazine reports that Missy Higgins has re-recorded her debut single ‘Scar’ for the U.S. version of her yet-to-be-released album ‘The Sound Of White’. The Australian singer has been fine tuning the album for a different market. “They weren’t happy with our version” she says of the USA. “I didn’t think they’d be able to accept the Australian accent in my singing, I thought they’d find that too weird, but they seem to really like it. There’s not much music over there that’s not synthetic pop I guess.” The move isn’t sitting well with Higgins’ fans back home.
