Moby Finishes An Amazing Rain-Free European Festival Tour

Moby checked in with fans on his blog at MySpace on Tuesday (August 4), talking about wrapping up his European festival tour and the birthday of U.S. President Barack Obama. The artist writes:

Oh, speaking of weather, the European festival tour we just finished was amazing for many reasons (good shows, great audiences, etc), but one reason it was amazing is that we only had 15 minutes of rain on the whole tour. Yes, a festival tour of Europe with only 15 minutes of rain (in Arras, and it was pretty dramatic, a deluge in the middle of the show). I’ve done festival tours where it’s rained EVERY SINGLE DAY. But this time? No rain. And almost every city/town we went to we heard the same thing: ‘Oh, it’s been raining for 3 weeks, but today is beautiful’. So, whoever arranged the amazing weather, thank you. I mean, isn’t it odd to be in Europe for 2 months and have it be sunny and warm the entire time? Oh, it drizzled in Wales, too. I forgot that one. But it had been hot and sunny in Manchester earlier in the day, so Welsh drizzle doesn’t count.
