Moby’s ‘Boring And Un-Opinionated’ Reaction To Jacko Acquittal

Moby weighed in on Michael Jackson being declared not guilty on child molestation charges. “Ok, so Michael Jackson was acquitted. And not to be uncharacteristically un-opinionated, but I don’t really have an opinion. Pedophilia is bad. A terrible crime, I believe. If Michael Jackson is a pedophile then he should be dealt with accordingly. If he’s not a pedophile then he should be allowed to live his life without the stain of accusation. As we all know, acquittal doesn’t really answer either one of those points. I don’t know Michael Jackson, so I feel distinctly unqualified to have an opinion on the ‘is he/isn’t he’ pedophilia question. I saw the BBC documentary on him, and his behavior at times was utterly bizarre, and I find it odd that he paid $20 million in 1993 to a boy who accused him of pedophilia, but I have no opinion as to whether he might or mightn’t be a pedophile. Sorry to be boring and un-opinionated.”
