A Flyte Tyme records news posting states: “Last week when Mariah was visiting the Twin Cities, Jimmy Jam noticed a stunning new charm bracelet she was wearing! He commented to her how beautiful it was! She told him it was what she was going to name the new album! It’s now official! Mariah announced the name of her upcoming album will be ‘Charmbracelet’! The project, which is the 1st on her MonarC Records, and releases December 10th, includes production by Jermaine Dupri, DJ Quik, 7, Irv Gotti, Just Blaze, Damizza, and of course Jimmy Jam & Terry Lewis who do the honors on the 1st single ‘Through the Rain’! Mariah was in Minneapolis last Tuesday afternoon attending a listening party at FlyteTyme Studios for about 50 vip’s of radio & retail! The guests were treated to a tour of the legendary studios by the one & only Jimmy Jam! Da Brat was on hand to help intro the new music! After 5 songs were premiered for everyone, (including the Jam & Lewis produced, Mariah & Justin duet ‘Yours’, Mariah & Jam answered questions about the album! Lunch was then served and Mariah took pictures with everyone! After the party, Mariah, along with Jimmy & Terry spent time listening and tweeking various mixes in progress including the ‘Through the Rain’ R&B remix featuring Kelly Price & Joe!
