MTV, Hair Gels, And Soft Drinks May Back Bass In Space

John Nova Lomax of the Houston Press has one of the few interesting articles regarding Lance Bass and his mission to space. After imagining a fantasy scenario of Charlize Theron also being on the flight, Lomax talked about the possible commercial tie-ins and how it all could go up in smoke if the Russians are for real in their game of hardball. Lomax writes, “Whether this is just more grist for Celebrity Mission or the end of Bass’s dream is unclear at press time, but it would seem that there’s too much money on the line to back out now. Money already spent, money not yet spent that the Russians really need, and money Krieff and his backers will have to spend in litigation if Bass doesn’t go to space.”
