The New York Daily News spoke with MTV after the networks flip on removing some controversial videos from their daytime lineup. They have resumed airing Britney Spears’ ‘Toxic’, blink-182′s ‘I Miss You’, but have still relegated Ludacris’ ‘Splash Waterfalls’ to the hours between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. “We decided to take a temperature check, we listened to the audience, we wanted to make sure we still felt good about the images on MTV,” a spokeswoman for the network explained. Now that some of the initial shock of the Janet Jackson’s Super Bowl breast flash is over, she said: “The audience … decided they wanted to see these artists.”
