Don Hudson of the Charlotte Observer weighed in on ‘The Kiss’. He writes, “Watching film of the MTV Video Music Awards from Thursday night, when Christina Aguilera and Britney Spears were making out with Madonna, I’ve got to say: I was a little saddened. Is that the point where sex has fallen? Where a pre-programmed, prime-time buss between two post-Mouseketeer pop tarts and a fading 45-year-old artistic icon has commercialized sex so much there is no shock value left? I just yawned.”

Yeah the kiss was stupid. The performance was great though. And the person who wrote this review sounds a little bit bitter. Oh well its her opinion, many hated it and many loved it.
Good. I’m not the only one who didn’t think “the kiss” was that shocking.
I actually agree with the writer.
Yeah “The Kiss” wasn’t really a big deal. It wasn’t even shocking. I believe we have all seen enough of Madonna’s shocking moments that nowadays anything she does provocative will be like watching grass grow (i didn’t say that to diss Madonna, I love that woman, she’s an incredible artists and person). And Britney and Christina these days are just being so overly focused on their bad girl images that every provocative thing they do is just quite old, boring, and just nothing new or shocking anymore. Of course all of them will still have their fans and #1 albums and singles to boot, but when it comes to shocking moment after shocking moment, it will probably make us all say, so…what else is new?
It was just an opinion…
Yeah cool!!!!!!!!! I mean everyone has their own different opinions.
I agree with this comment from Don Hudson of the Charlotte Observer… “Sex today is so pervasive, it’s just common. Even when it is supposed to shock, and the MTV awards seem designed around that goal, it comes across as predictable and boring.” Does anybody else agree?
yes the kisses were stupid!
you’re only saying that cause Christina didn’t get as much attention than Britney did. LOL
