Victoria Gotti of the New York Post was on hand at the release party for Backstreet Boys star Nick Carter’s debut solo album ‘Help Me’ and was curious why none of his bandmates attended the bash. She spoke to a high-level music exec about it, and although everyone has denied it, he told Gotti that the Backstreet Boys were indeed defunct. After sharing this info with Carter, he became agitated to the point of belligerence. “I’m tired of hearing it,” he snapped. “Everywhere I turn, it’s Backstreet Boys this, Backstreet Boys that. I just want my own identity. I want to experience my own stuff.”
