Edna Gundersen of USA Today spoke with several music insiders predicting a bright future for Mariah Carey. Included in the chain of praise was Erik Bradley, assistant program director at WBBM-FM in Chicago and a friend of Mariah’s. Bradley said, “She’ll have a slew of offers and be signed when she wants to be signed. She’ll have another run at the top, because she’s a brilliant songwriter and an amazing vocalist. I still think there were some good songs on Glitter. They didn’t perform up to her past record of radio airplay, but nobody can have a perfect run. Even Madonna had periods of low acceptance.
