Music Stores Worry Of ‘Britney’ Overstock

Hits magazine reports music store owners who have pre-ordered around 3 million copies of Britney Spears’ new album ‘Britney’ are worried that they may have overestimated demand for her music. Sales of her concert tour are softer than expected and her debut single off the album, ‘Slave 4 U’ hasn’t proven to be much of a radio hit. While initially hoping for 750k-1 million in first week sales, some are beginning to think 500-600k is more realistic, making it vulnerable in the album charts to Floyd best-of album, Echoes, out the same week.
