‘Scotland Today’ correspondent Billy Sloan spoke to singer Natalie Imbruglia about the release of her new album and the first single ‘Shiver’. Asked what the inspiration was on the new single, Imbruglia responded, “It came along at the last minute. Eggwhites, who I’d written ‘Slow Down’ on the record with, got together with Shep Solomon. Huge Goldsmith got them to write a song specifically for me, and that’s always a weird thing when the record company does that and they played it to me towards the end and me being me was like a bit defensive about it. And I heard the song and I was like, ‘I actually really like this song’. Really it’s their baby, and I’m very happy for it to be the first song on the record.”
