Rick.com reports Natalie Imbruglia admits her new album, ‘White Lilies Island’, could have taken even longer to release than the near four years it did if not for a deadline. Imbruglia said, “I appreciated the deadline at the end because it really made us really rush to get it finished. But I don’t think I could have rushed that album. I think it was out of my control because I worked solidly…I took a half a year off, which I shouldn’t have done. I was a year late starting so for the rest of the year I did a duet with Tom Jones for his album, but I couldn’t have known that it would take three years. You can’t force creativity.”
