Tony Hicks of the Contra Costa Times was at Nelly Furtado’s Thursday’s show at the Warfield in San Francisco and reviewed the singer’s show before a diverse audience. Hicks said, “Though Furtado might seem to have the makings of a flash-in-the-pan artist because of her looks and appeal to preteens, her music is rooted firmly in enough styles to keep her around. Though not an accomplished guitarist, she knew what she was doing on at least three songs. Though not the greatest vocalist, her voice nevertheless doesn’t let her down on stage. Though not the greatest performer, she manages to keep the crowd into the show all night by simply having fun and not letting her focus stray.”
