NME spoke with Nelly Furtado about her appearance with Tricky on the new Paul Oakenfold album, ‘Bunkka’. Nelly said, “The Paul thing came about because he had my record for a while and he-d been getting artists to come sing for his pop debut, his crossover record, where he’s doing what Fatboy Slim or the The Chemical Brothers did, you know, with vocals on? I think it’s more like the UNKLE album personally. Bring in a bunch of guest vocalists with some really great music. So I met him and he was cool and we really bonded when I went to a show of his in Toronto. We were hanging in the DJ booth and I made up some freestyle vocals for him. That was fun so I just hooked up with him in the studio.”
