Nelly Furtado Visits NPR

NPR’s Renee Montagne spoke with Nelly Furtado about ‘Folklore’, which dives deeper into the texture and stories of her parents’ homeland, the Azore Islands.
“If you look down upon the ocean it’s just wide and vast…” Furtado says, describing, ‘Island of Wonder,’ one of the songs on the new album. She says it’s her “magical interpretation of how I used to feel when I’d go to those islands and I’d feel this sort of really mystic aura.”
