Jon Bream of the Star Tribune spoke with Nelly Furtado ahead of her show Monday night in St. Paul. Nelly said when she was just 4 years old, the first album she became obsessed with was Billy Joel’s ‘Glass Houses.’ Furtado revealed, “I used to stare at the album cover, and I used to sample the sound of a glass breaking at the beginning with my little tape recorder. My obsession with sampling started with Billy Joel.”
