New Yorkers Sound Off On Jacko’s Charges Against Mottola
Coco McPherson of the Village Voice quizzed several New Yorkers on their thoughts about Michael Jackson’s racist charges against Sony Music and its chief Tommy Mottola. 23-year-old Cindy Lafleur said, “How can Tommy Mottola be a racist if he was married to Mariah Carey? She’s mixed but she’s still half-black. Michael Jackson is doing this to get out of his contract and now he’s whiter than white. He’s whiter than the average white person. He doesn’t even look like the old Michael Jackson. You look at him years ago when he was so young and talented.
