The Boston Herald reports Backstreet Boys star Nick Carter got the honor of singing the National Anthem at last night’s New England Patriots vs. Pittsburgh Steelers Monday Night Football game at the new Gillette Stadium only after Mariah Carey reportedly bowed out after learning that it wouldn’t be televised. Nick partied at the pregame reception inside owner Bob Craft’s brand new stadium office along side former President George Bush, Japanese Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi and the PM’s posse, and acting Mass. Gov. Jane Swift.
