Ivett Rangel of Reforma.com reviewed Mexico’s Acafest 2003 concert series. Some of the Spanish performers included Alessandra, Julio Iglesias Jr., AXE Bahía, Moenia, and La Factoria y Bacilos. But Latinos love rock. Even Kelly Osbourne performed, though she cried as she was booed off stage. Rangel reports that the “tour of Acapulco Fest 2003 descended smoothly over the South Garden of the Convention Center. Six more acts, but Nick Carter was the main ‘reason for waiting’ for the 2,500 people who had gathered there… They wanted Nick, and only when he arrived, would some awake from their sleepiness, and others from their apathy.” He sang 10 songs from his solo album ‘Now or Never,’ a few B-sides and unreleased tracks, and 3 Backstreet Boys fan favorites including ‘Quit Playing Games,’ ‘Shape of My Heart,’ and the classic ‘I Want it That Way.’
