Nick Carter Shocks Florida Music Critic

Johanna Kandel of Vteens.org reviewed the Sunfest 2003 concert series. She says of Nick Carter’s set: “I will admit that I was not sure what to expect. I was, however, tremendously surprised by his great performance and will confess to buying his CD after the show. The first thing I noticed about Nick was how much passion he put into his music and what a natural performer he was. His sound is definitely more rock than what we have seen from the Backstreet Boys, but it suited him extremely well. Not only does he still have those signature dance moves, but wowed the crowd with his meticulous guitar playing. He sang about 8 songs from his recent C.D. including ‘Help Me’, ‘Girls in the U.S.A.’ and ‘My Confession’, and much to the crowd’s contentment ‘Shape of My Heart’, ‘Quit Playing Games (With My Heart)’, and ‘I Want It That Way’ (from the Backstreet Boys’ Discography).”
