Nick Carter’s Solo Album Riles Bandmates

The New York Daily News reports Nick Carter has riled his Backstreet Boys bandmates by recording his debut solo album at the same time they’re trying to record the group’s album. An insider said, “He wants to release his CD before the band has even finished theirs. The other guys are really pissed.” Nick’s manager Kenneth Crear admitted, “There could be tension, but I haven’t witnessed it. This is a chance for Nick to step out. It can only help the Backstreet Boys.” A rep at Jive Records said, “Nick’s album is further along than the Backstreet Boys’, but they’re all working together now.”
