Launch.com chatted with 98 Degrees star Nick Lachey after he performed at the second annual Gibson/Baldwin All-Star Music Bash to benefit the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation on Tuesday (October 1) in Nashville at the Gaylord Opryland Resort & Convention Center. Lachey says the appearance was a bit of a favor to Richard Marx, but he had a somewhat personal motivation as well. “The first thing about this event that spoke to me was that Richard had asked me to do it,” Nick said. “And if nothing else I would do it as a favor to him, but cystic fibrosis is something I became familiar with as a kid growing up in Cincinnati watching Boomer Esiason play quarterback and his son was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis and it became a very publicized thing in Cincinnati, so just seeing him on TV and his little boy struggling to breathe and stuff–it really kind of spoke to me, and so it’s something that really I would love to be a part of helping.” Read more.
