Nick’s Diabetes Song An Awkward Moment In Jonas Brothers Set
Leah Igdalsky of the Hartford Courant was on hand for the Jonas Brothers concert Saturday at Dodge Music Center, where the sibling pop trio performed along with opening act Avril Lavigne to a sold out audience. “The show went flying along until the momentum died with a long-winded video clip and song about Nick’s struggle with diabetes,” Leah writes. “The tune, ‘A Little Bit Longer’, had a melancholy air, but relied on cliches. It was uncomfortable returning to the band’s fast-paced hits, but the appropriate use of fire on ‘Burnin’ Up’, the single off the band’s new album, to be released Aug. 12, prompted enough cheers to make the awkward moment pass.”

It wasn’t awkward at my show (Hershey)…it was sweet and cathartic. It makes the more buoyant songs feel great afterward. I think they balanced fast paced and slow moments really well in this live show – thanks for the GREAT show, Jonases and company.
