Nile Rogers Planning ‘We Are Family’ Remake

Foxnews.com’s Roger Friedman is reporting a slew of stars have signed on or are close to signing on to record a remake of Nile Rogers penned hit, We Are Family. The plans are a Saturday recording of the song with one group of stars in New York. Money raise from the effort will go to World Trade Center victims and their families.

Among those scheduled tentatively on the roster include the orignal singers Sister Sledge and as well Dionne Warwick, Cyndi Lauper, Sugar Ray, Mick Jones of Foreigner, Roberta Flack, Sheryl Crow, Fred Schneider of the B52’s.

Then a Sunday recording in Los Angeles with the likes of Seal, Sophie B. Hawkins, Ice Cube, ‘N Sync, Britney Spears, Rob Thomas and Matchbox Twenty, and Elizabeth Taylor.
