Mel C’s First ‘Reason’ Single Hits Her Website Before Radio

December 4, 2002 – The official site of former Spice Girl Mel C announced the first single from Melanie’s album, ‘Reason’, will be ‘Here It Comes Again’ and is to be released on February 24th. The track will get its first radio play on January 10th but you’ll be able to hear an exclusive preview on her website on January 6th.

Mel C Thought About Quitting Music

November 19, 2002 – Former Spice Girl Mel C tells Radio 1 that she’s ready to make a comeback early next year. “You know, it’s well-publicized that I did go through some quite horrible moments,” she admits. “I was very depressed, and it did cross my mind you know that maybe I should do something else… maybe this isn’t right for me. But that didn’t last very long and there’s nothing else I want to do. So I’m back and I feel great now. I think I was burned out.” Mel’s new album comes out in March of 2003.

I don’t have any interest in reforming with the other Spice Girls,” she said at the MTV European Music Awards. Mel, 28, is set to release her second album, ‘Reason’, in March 2003.

Mel C Demands No Credit For Holly Valance Tune

November 13, 2002 – The Mirror reports former Spice Girl Mel C was so embarrassed to learn one of her songs (‘Help Me, Help You’) is on Holly’s ‘Footprints’ album she insisted her name be removed from the credits. She passed on having the track, which she co-wrote, on her own album, but was furious when she heard it landed on Holly’s.

“Mel knows Holly has done reasonably well,” a source said. “But she didn’t want to be associated with her at all and asked that her name be removed immediately.”
