Aly & AJ checked in with fans on their blog at Myspace on Tuesday (December 19), reacting to some criticism the received for attending Angel and Aaron Carter’s 19th birthday party at Shag on Friday (December 15). “We are so thankful to have your love and support in our lives and you have all contributed to many great memories of 2006,” they write. “We hope you have a very special Holiday and that you are safe, healthy and happy! We also wanted to share our feelings about the recent comments about our attendance of Aaron and Angel Carter’s Birthday party. We have a variety of friends and consider them all special. To limit ourselves from different people, based on their particular background, beliefs, or past would be narrow minded and self-righteous. We think a true friend is loving someone for who they are… and for who they aren’t. No one has to meet a ‘check-list’ with us because unconditional love doesn’t go there. Our friends accept us for who we are, so why would we not in turn accept their differences, whatever they may be… for who they are?” Read more.
