No Holiday Debut Album For Katharine McPhee

‘American Idol’ season five runner-up Katharine McPhee checked in with fans on her Myspace page with news her debut album won’t be out in time for the critical Christmas shopping season. “Hi everyone… I hope you all had a great Thanksgiving,” she writes. “It was nice to get some time with the family. So as you may have heard, my record now is not coming out till January 30th! Yeah! I’m so thrilled. This a good thing. I did lots of thinking about it and it was the best thing to do and amazingly enough I got the label to agree with help from others too. So thank you soooo much for being patient and understanding. I am so thankful for you all. So be expecting a single in the early days of January. That’s not to far away and hopefully it will be on air and getting spins. In the mean time I am working on a little gift to you all loyal and wonderful friends. Oh I can’t wait! I love giving surprises.
