No-Show J.Lo Wins Best Female

Jennifer Lopez picked up the Best Female award at the 2001 MTV Europe Awards in Frankfurt but was a no-show to the event. Accepting by video message, Lopez said, “I’m so excited, thank you so much for this award, I want to thank MTV worldwide, Sony music. You know what, the fans, thank you so much for all your support. Everything I do is for you guys and I love you, I wish I could have been there, I really do.”
