At a recent ceremony in Burleson, Texas to honor hometown girl Kelly Clarkson’s success as winner of American Idol, Mayor Byron Black presented her with a proclamation declaring November 25th to be ‘Kelly Clarkson Day’ in Burleson, Texas, as well as a key to the city. There were over 500 people in attendance to watch the ceremony and a rep from 19 Entertainment said it was the most emotional response they had seen from Kelly since the night she won American Idol.
