Carson Daly Says Boy Bands Are Dead, But Not Forever
December 27, 2002 – Bill Hemmer of CNN caught up with Carson Daly to talk about the year in music, and asked the TRL host if he thought boy bands were dead. “I think so. The 2002 Entertainment Hall Of Shame
December 27, 2002 – Contributed by elgato1019_1: Several popular artists made the Boston Herald’s 2002 Entertainment Hall of Shame. “For the last few months of 2001, artists and entertainers were on their best behavior. They held hands and raised their voices in harmony in tribute to the victims and heroes of 9/11. This year, they went back to acting normally. Which is to say, weirdness, greed, perversity and egomania ran rampant.” Michael Jackson made the list for “dangling one of his children off a hotel room balcony.” Christina Aguilera made it for her “booty-bumpin’ video for the song ‘Dirrty’. *NSYNC’s Lance Bass “tried to have the Russians blast him into space, but couldn’t write the $20 million check. Apparently, he invested all his ‘Bye Bye Bye’ profits in Enron stock.” Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears made the list for their “messy breakup” and other creepy antics.
