*NSYNC Publicist Denies Justin Timberlake Demanding Year Split
Katrillion reports Jive’s publicist Sonia Muckle is denying reports Justin Timberlake had asked his *NSYNC bandmates to take the year off so that he could start a solo career. Muckle said, “No truth to this rumor at all.” Still, while the rumor is denied, there appears little doubt that the band will take an extended break as several members are planning projects on their own, including Timberlake.
Fan Shares *NSYNC Soundcheck Experience
April 7, 2002 – A fan who attended Thursday’s *NSYNC concert in Chicago and the sound check before hand shared her experience on the LiveDaily.com message boards over the weekend. Jamie writes, “They made us stand outside for an hour before we could even get into the building. Even then, not everyone fit inside so those people stood outside for an hour more. It was cold and it was snowing. It was ridiculous and a lot of people were really peeved.” As for her primo seats, she said, “We saw the lady and thanked her again for helping us get great seats! As the night went on though, we became more and more disappointed with where we were sitting. The reason is because the majority of the pit was ‘people who know people’ and they were pretty uptight and snotty. Lots of VIP’s and guests so in a lot of ways we felt totally out of place.”

D12’s Proof Doesn’t Like Pop Music
April 5, 2002 – Mark Eastbase of DaveyD.com spoke with D12’s Proof who revealed that Nelly Furtado will be among those collaborating on their upcoming 2003 release of ‘Searching For Gerry Garcia’. Proof addressed the group’s so-called ‘beef’ with pop stars in wake of working with Furtado saying, “They’re just people. We’re just people. I’m not doing it to sell. If I was then I’d have Backstreet Boys, fu**ing *NSYNC, Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera all over my album. There’s no real reason why I don’t like those people. I don’t know any of them. I just don’t like their music. People tell me ‘Oh Elton John is a fag, you shouldn’t like his music’, fu** that. So what if he’s a fag? There’s Elton John songs I love to tears. Same with George Michael. He masturbates in public, that doesn’t stop him from making great songs.” Read more.
I have to say that Justin is sadly mistaken if he thinks he has the voice or charisma to go it alone. Have you all caught the new Moby video with JC making a cameo in it. He’s in two scenes and wow, that’s charisma. The guy keeps you guessing? And that’s what all good rock stars should do.
JC is wonderful…he doesn’t have to be annoyingly attention-seeking to get noticed! he just gets on stage and sings his ASS off! he is so overlooked and it makes me sad…i think Justin is talented too…but i don’t like how he is ALWAYS the center of attention…for example…his “gone” solo at the celebrity tour…KILL ME NOW…that was FAR to much Justin for me! and he seems more about himself while jc seems all about the fans…WHY CAN’T EVERYONE SEE WHAT I SEE!! I just love jc i guess! but i think he deserves it!
