*NSYNC Retains Crown Over Backstreet Boys In Searches

Earlier we had reported that the Backstreet Boys had overtaken *NSYNC in internet searches on pay-per search engine FindWhat by a wide margin. Well turns out *NSYNC has retained their lead on the larger Goto.com, with *NSYNC searches at 226,491 and Backstreet Boys searches at 201,766. Why the discrepencies? Likely because Goto affiliates with AOL, which has a high percentage of US users, while Findwhat probably has a more international user base.

December Overture.com Search Queries:

226491 *NSYNC (and equivalents)

180617 Backstreet Boys
16825 BSB
4324 Backstreet
