While *NSYNC remains the most searched for boy band on the internet on pay-per search engine Overture.com during the month of January, their once dominance of all of their male musical peers has eroded. Now stars like Lil’ Bow Wow, Ja Rule, and Linkin Park are enjoying more searches than the group. The term ‘n sync’ and the most common name variants received 294,724 searches for the month, while the group’s most searched for songs included their latest ones, ‘Girlfriend’ with 3,957 searches and ‘Gone’ with 2,123. Some of their detractor’s names like ‘NSUCK’ and ‘NSTINK’ also received some search interest.
