Operation Smile’s The Real Reason For Jessica’s Celebrity

Us Weekly spoke with Jessica Simpson after her trip to Washington, DC to lobby on behalf of Operation Smile. “It was pretty phenomenal to have the attention of the Senate,” Simpson said. “I know this is the real reason for my celebrity, why God put me in this place.” She added, “I wasn’t nervous talking to such big political figures. At the end of the day, we’re all here for the same reason, which is to help those in need.”
