Owl City checked in with fans on his blog at MySpace on Friday (March 5), offering an update on the ‘Ocean Eyes Deluxe Edition’ release, Twitter, and his appreciation for the fans. The ‘Fireflies’ singer writes:
I can never say this enough, so I’ll keep on saying it until the cows come home. My house is pretty hard to find, so I hope the aforementioned cows have access to a sweet GPS, but at any rate: I would like to say thank you.
I am a shy, small town boy with big dreams and you’ve made them become reality. You’ve even made “Fireflies” the 24th most downloaded song of all time on iTunes! I blush a lot these days. Words can’t describe the immense gratitude I feel — and it’s quite humbling. I am honored to be allowed to do what I do and I’m indescribably grateful for the opportunities I’ve been given. PTL!
